Advice From Me
What to wear?
The better you feel, the better you’ll look. Choose an outfit that is comfortable but appealing. Make you and your loved ones feel excited for your session. Dress up and feel attractive! Whether it’s for yourself or with your family everyone should feel proud and happy about themselves.
What do you want your pictures to look like? Are you wanting more soft and elegant pictures?
Chose outfits that are neutral and soft colors like creamy, soft pastels, tans, grays, slate blues or light browns. Fabrics that are flowy and light.
Are you more out there and like to be funky? Think accessories and bright colors.
Don’t be too matchy and add some hats or scarves with it.
Don't Stress with Little Ones.
Young Childern ?
Come prepared if you have little ones please bring them a small nonsticky treat also bring them a favorite toy or blanket. It will help smooth them through the session. If your little one still takes naps let me know what times work best for them so we can schedule properly for them. Sometimes they do cry and are not in the mood for sitting and looking at a camera. If so, I will do more of a lifestyle shoot rather than posed pictures. It will be more candid and the family or the child is free be themselves.
Come and be yourself. Let loose and make it a fun experience for everyone. No need to rush it or have full control. I’ve set enough time for your session and I am not timing it. Sometimes when we are first starting to shoot it might feel awkward that a stranger is taking your pictures, but I am truly there to capture your relationship with one another. During my sessions I will be looking for another location to pose you and your family. Take that time to talk to your family members to just relax and have fun. Everyone is unique and have different personalities I know that I have three kids myself and everyone is completely different.
Something to also keep in mind is that we will be walking quite a bit so be well rested and be comfortable. If you do have any difficulties walking, sitting down or standing for a long period of time please let me know ahead of time. Finally, I have to say that almost everyone’s favorite pictures are the candid ones. So, don’t be afraid to dance, to smile at one another to tickle your kids, to twirl and mainly to laugh with them.
